Hopi Ear Candles
Ear candles are an ancient treatment where by smoke is blown into the
ears for healing purposes.
The first recorded evidence of this is by the Hopi Indians in the South, West USA.
A hollow candle is carefully inserted into the outer ear and the various ingredients of the candle vaporize and are drawn into the ear by gentle convection (chimney effect).
This subtle movement has the effect of a massage to the ear drum plus the temperature in the ear canal increases slightly helping to regulate pressure throughout the entire sinus system of the face which can assist in drainage and decongestion.
Hopi ear candles are known to be beneficial in treating all kinds of ear, nose and throat problems and can even prevent pain when flying.
