Physiotherapy
Welcome to the Sheffield Physiotherapy website. Here we aim to give you an insight into the professional services that we provide. Sheffield Physiotherapy has experienced clinicians who have a hands-on approach and work from spacious well equipped treatment rooms.
The clinic is situated on Ecclesall Road near the Berkeley Centre and has a free car park and wheelchair access.
At Sheffield Physiotherapy we are proud to be part of a profession which is developing rapidly. We offer treatments backed by evidence of effectiveness, this means you can be confident that you are receiving the care that is right for you.
Our focus is on treating the underlying causes of the problem and not just on relieving the symptoms wherever this approach is possible. We start the treatment on the first appointment and will give you a good idea of how many therapy sessions you are likely to need.
Physiotherapy is a collaborative process part of which involves, carefully explaining your condition, offering advice and showing you the exercises that will best optimise your recovery.

Spinal Conditions
We are the only clinic in South Yorkshire able to offer two advanced spinal treatments, the first is called IDD Therapy while the other is called Power Assisted Micro-manipulation (PAMM).
With IDD Therapy we use computer-controlled pulling forces delivered by the Accu-SPINA medical device to gently distract (draw apart) targeted segments of the spine in order to take pressure off specific discs and nerves whilst at the same time, gently stretching tight muscles and stiff ligaments.
The PAMM has a handset with four fingers, which act like a bionic hand, its mechanism is so precise that the therapist retains superb feel of the joints, muscles and soft tissues. PAMM is unique in that it addresses the underlying causes of back and neck pain. The treatment is safe with no sudden or violent movements.
As IDD Therapy targets the specific spinal segments that have become damaged while PAMM addresses the cause of the problem we are able to offer a state of the art therapy system. Typical candidates for this therapy are people who have had back or neck pain for three months or more and may have tried various other treatments without success. They may be taking pain medication and may be considering invasive treatments such as injections or in extreme cases, surgery.
